In the context of Design City 2016, Luxembourg Biennial taking place from April 27th to May 22nd, 2016 Fabrica presents “…” (dot dot dot), a participative project for MUDAM to create a new visual landmark for Rue de Strasbourg and its surrounding area.

Fabrica’s international team composed by Sam Baron, Coralie Gourguechon, Sílvia Matias, Elise Santangelo and Angelo Semeraro, explores light and dark, individual and community, creating a new, inclusive, universal language for Rue de Strasbourg, a multicultural street near the train station, transforming negative perception into positive content.

Using the humble dot as a simultaneous metaphor of an individual within a greater community, as well as locations on a map, Fabrica designs a system that becomes a way to connect, draw or write — a way to communicate, no matter your language, age, or origin. This allows evolution, and adapts to different needs and expressions, from children to shopkeepers to passers-by.
