Benetton Home Collection
Fabrica designs a new objects collection for United Colors of Benetton.
Drawing inspiration from the Benetton’s core values, vision and avant-guard graphic heritage, this collection of mugs plays with different patterns, symbols and colours. A simple but strong visual impact given to an iconic object which accompanies us all day, from the morning caffeine hit to the bedtime tisane.
Two Coffee Cups
Taking a coffee at the end of a meal often means sharing a moment together — it’s a symbol of togetherness. Drinking coffee is a ritual, and as with any ritutal it always tastes better when its not done solo.
This pair of coffee cups plays with patterns and colour, revealing Benetton’s legacy. It is the perfect excuse to share a story, or to daydream together with the smell of a well made expresso.
The Phone Cover
A mobile is a contemporary artefact, its presence is universal but everyone uses it in different languages, for different purposes, at different times of the day. This mobile cover plays on cultural references and symbols, colour and pattern, revealing the Benetton worldwide vision. Each pattern tells a story about who you are and what you stand for.
Notebooks are used by everyone, everywhere. Thoughts and ideas are abstract things that are given shape in paper before becoming reality – each line, written or drawn, with a hidden thought or spontaneous idea behind it. This notebook invites you to think or draw about the rest of the world, playing on cultural references and symbols, colour and pattern, that reveal the Benetton worldwide vision. Each pattern, each drawing, each line — tell a story about who you are and what you stand for.
A tray represents intimate and cozy rituals in almost every place in the world: a surprise breakfast in bed, hot tea with cookies on a rainy afternoon, or a cold lemonade on a sunny summer garden. Through Benetton’s playful color schemes and cultural inspired patterns, this collection of trays fits any moment of life, from big to small, from vivid to vague.
Light is an universal concept and need. But it takes different shades in different parts of the world. This candle plays on cultural references and symbols, colour and pattern, revealing the Benetton worldwide vision. Each pattern tells a story about who you are and what you stand for.
As Catarina affirms, “this home collection started to me as a curious assignment, but it rapidly became my humble homage to the immense legacy of Benetton, a hard exercise of simplicity and strength. It’s about mixing and matching many colours with uncomplicated graphic elements, to tell how people are so similar but still with different tastes and rituals”.
All the Fabrica collection for Benetton comes with a collectable packaging and is available in six different versions. It is also the first of a series of objects and accessories – among them coffee cups, phone covers and sketchbooks – designed by Fabrica for United Colors of Benetton.
